My movement research is focusing on accessibility of dance. Through that I understand the working methods, movement qualities, organization and artistic direction the projects are uptaking. I understand any dance work as the whole work in progress - from the bottom to the final outcome, where the ideas presented are standing with the way the project is arranged. For example, creating an open, listening, caring environment of work that allows the people in a team to grow through the work, and simultaneously the work to grow with a personal creation of artists involved.
Accessibility, in terms of disability, is my focus considering the methods and movement practices we can find between mixed-abled groups and create scores/tools that are opening ideas independent from abilities one have. I am interested in the creation of vocabulary/practice that creates a trusting environment of working, has a potential to develop movement qualities for diverse groups, but also builds a bond between participants.

I was born and raised in Poznan, Poland, now working internationally involved in various art projects.
PROFESIONAL EXPERIENCE
A freelance artist and teacher since 2015; dancer, pedagogue and manager of cultural events working in England, Austria and Poland. A graduate of Social Policy, Dance Composition, and Dance from NSCD Leeds, and currently graduating from Dance pedagogy and Contemporary dance at ABPU, Austria.
She is co-creating independent productions. Latest choreography she was working in the performance directed by Justyna Sobczyk and Daria Kubisiak, Secret Garden in Theatre Zagłębia.
Dancer of EXIM, British inclusive dance company, and various artistic collaborations working transdisciplinary in a field of performance, theatre, movement research, media, music and handcraft. The dancer of the international platform ARTiL_2019 touring UKR/AT/PL. She is a former dancer and pedagogue of STW, PL.
She developed her stage experience and artistic interest during projects with: Vinicius Salles, Stella Zannou, Adam Benjamin, Regina van Berkel, Jinan Qu, Jason Jacobs, Natalia Draganik- Franke, Maciej Kuźmiński and Natalia Iwaniec.
Laureat of Visegrad residency scholarship 2021, Poland’s Dance and Disability 2020 program and Austrian Förderung stipendium for two creations. She has twice received the Isolde Kleitmann prize [AT].
She was an intern of ROZBARK Dance and Movement Theatre and Polish Dance Theater 2016.
anka works also as a manager of different cultural events, among others Face Festival 2019_ POR, UK and TZA. Organizer and leader of regular interdisciplinary JAM sessions in Austria.
She has wide experience in pedagogy with kids, adults and with
mixed abled groups. Early stage and pedagogical experience she gained as an assistant of theater projects in collaboration with Grzegorz Chołuj and the New Theater in Poznan.
anka is an experienced pedagogue and choreographer of independent collectives, solo performances and artistic collaborations with musicians, painters and actors. She has twice received the Isolde Kleitmann scholarship prize for a collaborative performance creation ”pass by” and “la duet for two of us”. Additionally, she was the creative manager of several events at the Face Festival 2019 held in the UK, Portugal and Tanzania. Furthermore, she organised interdisciplinary improvisation JAM sessions during 2017/18.
She believes what makes movement important is the creative process and transforming differences between individuals into the most powerful and valuable asset, while supporting respect and tolerance. Her interest in art as a combination of social and somatic aspects of dance are further supported by creating wide working environments for further development.
